PLANT HUNTERS


Look at this! I feel a deep kinship with Ynes Mexia, Kate Brandegee and Alice Eastwood, women whose lives were dedicated to the love, study and exploration of the plant world in the 19th and early 20th centuries. What adventurers!

which gets me thinking:
1. I'd like to build some huts like this at the river farm....
2. I must to go the Amazon
3. I need to rig up my bike here in Key West for collecting plant specimens and such

more on snails....

 
 
 
I found these snail shells in my friend Randesh's massive spread of a compost pile! It is exciting think about the interrelationship of snails, decomposition, organisms, slime, pheromones, mating, and the alchemy of compost....
oh, and it also a perk when your nail polish matches the bucket a banana tree is growing in.
